In Lop Dell House , last Friday, 29th of July, was a creative session of Maori Art, where Iona – the artist teacher – demonstrated expertly the use of shells, dry leaves, seeds and twigs to be embedded on a paper machet base. Sita Rama students with Bal Gopal class enjoyed exploring an ancient type of Maori Art creativity where simplicity and resourcefulness from nature were exercised. They made their own designs first on paper, then used it as a tool for the final design on the paper machet. We will soon show some of the photos we have taken from that memorable experience.
